The Hague

As the third largest city in the Netherlands, The Hague is home base of government, diplomacy and international business, thus centre of influence.  As the 4th UN city, The Hague plays an important role on a international platform.  With a strong international business cluster, and also a growing cluster of international organisations like the Peace Palace, the International Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration and the International Criminal Court, The Hague is a legal centre of world importance.

The Hague is a city with many facets.  It is a city with atmosphere and style, reflected in the historical buildings mixed with modern living, leisure and labor.  The city centre has recently seen heavy investment in elegant modern office buildings, hotels and catering outlets, shops and housing.  With more than one third of its surface woods, parks, avenues with monumental trees and historical country estates The Hague has long been known as the “green city by the sea”.
