Halfrid enjoys working at IGLUU the Hague

Business meeting at Igluu's sundeck

Thanks to the WFIA, who provided us with support to establish a business in The Hague, my company had the opportunity to try the service from Igluu - a company that offers shared offices for small companies and self-employed freelancers.  The concept is great - there are offices in The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht, and the client receives an access card to visit any one of them from 7:00 till 23:00 during working days.

I visited the office in The Hague which is in a perfect location in the center of the city. The building has a nice open space on top of the building with a great view of the green city. The weather was beautifully sunny and I was totally impressed at that moment. The interior is well done, showing a good balance between friendly casual design and serious office. There are working tables in the shared room where people can communicate during the working day or you can move to a more private place if you need to concentrate where no one will disturb you. When you have a meeting, you can use one of the available meeting rooms which you can reserve beforehand if necessary.  Availability of internet and coffee is not surprising.

When I started my own project, for me personally it was hard to change from an office environment where I used to work with colleagues around, network infrastructure and security system to a home office, where children are jumping on you suddenly and a wife who gets angry when you are so concentrated, you do not come on time for lunch.

Igluu solved these problem completely.  You work in a familiar environment with colleagues, a working atmosphere, space for visitors, and even a phone box to talk privately. The site manager in The Hague,  Danny Roosen, takes care of his clients and is always ready to help in case of any questions. The Owner and Director of Igluu,  Michiel Morks met us when we came first time, introduced Danny to us and showed us the facilities. The concept of Igluu is perfect, and I am sure it will be successful, because it precisely fits the market demand in these new economic conditions, when more and more people are starting their own projects.
